The fuel pump pictured has been mounted on the fan shroud. Once the pump is mounted you have three lines to hook up. The fuel line on the right is coming from the gas tank and going into the inlet on the fuel pump. The fuel line pulse fuel pump hook up the left is coming out of the outlet and going into the carburetor. The fuel line in the center is the pulse line that runs the fuel pump.
I've recently installed a 6. I've just got around to installing the vacuum pulse fuel pump hook up pump setup. My fuel pump isn't pulling fuel up from the tank. Unsure whether this fuel pump is causing the issue I brazed a brass fitting into the standard outlet of the valve cover and removed the internal baffle to ensure good vacuum. If an engine is to work correctly, fuel needs to be delivered continuously and in fixed proportions to the engine. This is the function of a well maintained fuel pulse pump. With the use of pulses, a pre-defined quantity of fuel is delivered to the engine in pulse fuel pump hook up steady stream. A pulse fuel pump has four tubes connected to it. I was trying to avoid the pulse in the valve cover and I'm still trying to. Has anyone used a smaller kart fuel pump to solve this issue? I'm also having issues getting a consistent throttle connection. Anyone have photos I can look at? My clone is a harbor freight
